Meanings of Rose Colours

After visiting the Cutting Room in the Kits neighbourhood, I stumbled across Hilary Miles Flowers. Today they had roses on special, and I wanted to pick one up to surprise Douglas.

Traditionally red roses are the go-to colour to express your love to someone. Ever wondered about the meanings behind other colours?

  • Red: Love and Romance
  • Light Pink: Love, Gratitude and Appreciation
  • White: Marriage, Spirituality and New Starts
  • Orange: Enthusiasm and Passion
  • Yellow: Friendship, Joy and Good Health

Don’t forget to consider culture when gifting flowers or roses, as there may be different meanings implied with different colours and flowers.

Happy Gifting!
